For old Windows versions

Do you have an old Windows version on your computer? Windows 95, 98, 98SE or ME?
In that case the latest version of Tyre (since version 5.40) will not run on your computer (though installing will be possible).
You need an older version of Tyre, that will work on those Windows versions.
You can get that version of Tyre by clicking here: Older Version of Tyre.

Would you like to use the Tyre logo as startup screen (splash screen) in your TomTom in stead of the original one?
It is very easy to replace the original one by the beautiful Tyre logo, that has been designed by Eduardo Ridaura Lopez:

  • Download the ZIP file that contains images and instructions.
  • Read the instructions added in the ZIP file or read them here.
  • Copy the appropriate image to your TomTom.
After copying the correct image to your TomTom, you will see the new splash screen every time you start up your TomTom.

This is the original splash screen.
(If you have another TomTom device than a RIDER,
you will have another splash screen.)
This is the new splash screen with the Tyre logo.

Click here to download the ZIP file.

Instructions:
  • Download the ZIP file. It contains two images:
splashw.bmp: screen size 480x272 (for TomTom GO 910, TomTom GO 710/720, TomTom GO 510/520, TomTom ONE XL).
splash.bmp: screen size 320x240 (for TomTom RIDER, TomTom ONE (all editions except XL), TomTom GO 500, TomTom GO 300).
  • Unzip the image that is appropriate to your TomTom.
  • If you already have a 'splashw.bmp' or a 'splash.bmp' in the root folder of your TomTom, rename it or remove it to another location.
  • Copy the new 'splashw.bmp' or 'splash.bmp' to the root folder of your TomTom.
That is all. From now on you will see the new splash screen in stead of the old one.
